September's Message From Our President, Michelle Fitzsimmons
As I sit down to write September’s article, I think of the busy August I have had.
At the end of July, my father-in-law passed away, and the kids and I started our 2,600 mile
adventure. They were awesome in the car. If you told me they would be that good, I would
have figured you were talking about someone else's kids. Then we continued with my oldest
starting school, and yes, I was one of those moms throwing her on the bus and couldn't
wait for the school year to begin. It is hard to believe my baby is growing up, but she
has the attitude to go with it. I started my countdown to my 40th birthday, so the 40
year resolutions came. I’m not doing so hot with them, but one I do want to work on is
procrastination. Hopefully that will improve because the late nights are getting harder and harder.
The sale ended the month with a bang. I would like to thank everyone who worked at the sale
to make it the success that it was. I would especially like to thank the Co-Chairs Amanda
DeLong and Lauren Lamping for endless hours they put in and to all the sellers and volunteers
for all the hours you put in. Special thanks also to Nicole Puckett for her help getting us
mentioned in the Gwinnett Daily Post. We could not have this awesome sale without the support
of our club. Remember clothing sales and dues are our only income. We still have some open
positions this year. If you are interested to help backfill these positions please let me
know. It takes work from the great members to make this club prosper. I know how much this
club has meant to me and my kids and I hope we can continue to go forward. Amanda Rodriguez
and I are working on a survey. Please look for it in the next couple of weeks. We do hope
you will fill one out. We want to hear from you and learn how we can make this club the best it can be.

Our Next Meeting is September 14 th.
Amanda Rodriguez
What an awesome meeting we had last month! Shannan Browning was amazing speaking about
‘The Five Love Languages’ based on a book by Gary Chapman. I’m pretty sure I already
know what category my 13-month-old boys are in. Shannan has 4 children and a husband
that each have a different love language, making her extremely knowledgeable on the
subject. I just want to say thank you so much Shannan for such an amazing job!
The September meeting is going to be another great one! We are having a coupon cutter
whiz come and talk to us (and show us all her tricks). But this time the coupon queen
is one of us, a GMOM. Janice Osborne will soon be welcoming her forth little one; she
has saved a ton with her coupon tricks, and I can’t wait to learn them! Don’t forget to
sign up at the door for a great door prize!

Big Sister/ Little Sister
This program is a one-on-one support system that has been designed to help new Moms of
Multiples. If you are not comfortable asking questions in front of a large group, then this is the
program for you. You will have a more “experienced” Mom assigned to you that will be your
personal resource. If you have any questions or concerns or even if you just want a second
opinion, just call your Big Sister. It’s that simple! All the Big Sisters have volunteered for this
program and have already gone through the issues that you may now be facing. Sometimes it
just helps to receive some reassurance and encouragement from time to time. If this sounds like
a program you think you can benefit from, contact
Jessica Brown.
